๐ฐ๏ธUpdates
Dated notes from recent initiatives โ the main entry above is not rewritten.
2026-07-19: Under CAROL-INI-3004 the Token Cost Tracker app, which runs as carolapps, gained a sanctioned restart lane after being found absent from both the Radagast restart_app APP_REGISTRY and the root bounce helper's baked 8-app registry. Previously it could not be cleanly bounced, since reclaim_port refused foreign-user listeners and a carol-apps.service restart reloaded nothing (KillMode=none).
The by-service chart now has darker borderless bars, a service card strip with brighter-shade selection, and shows complete per-service spend for any selected day.
As of 2025-01-30, Token Cost Tracker now correctly displays per-service budgets by sourcing from the new budget_allocations table, fixing the bug where new budgets were not shown.
2025-04-10: Fixed a bug where Token Cost Tracker read daily caps from a stale mirror instead of the registry-first budget source; now uses the effective cap resolver.
Gemini image/video generation is now visible as a first-class provider in the Token Cost Tracker, with a dedicated label instead of being bucketed as 'Other'. Token Cost Tracker
The Token Cost Tracker daily-spend chart now counts only planner-mode initiatives and has been relabeled for clarity.
New app Token Cost Tracker built to log all LLM spend across the whole Carolverse, with daily stacked charts by model. Integrates with Process Monitoring for full visibility.
A disambiguation note: CAROL-INI-2352-00 addresses the Azure consumption dashboard (port 7070, /dev/costs/)โnot the Carol Cost Monitor (Token Cost Tracker, port 7174, /dev/carol-costs/), which was fixed by a prior initiative. No material change to Token Cost Tracker.
App renamed from 'Carol Cost Monitor' to 'Initiative Cost Tracker' and ownership transferred to Midas (Midas), per Ninad ruling CLI-024.
