Carol Chat is the droid that runs the operator chat as Carol. When an operator sends a message in the Org app's chat lane, Carol Chat produces exactly one LLM turn — Carol's reply — and then waits for the next message. It exists so Carol can hold a direct, conversational back-and-forth with the person operating her, built on the same pattern pioneered by Leo Chat App (initiative CAROL-INI-3008).
It is owned by Carol and drives the Carol Chat chat lane. It has no scheduled process: each operator message triggers one turn, one reply, then it goes quiet. Though it shares its name with the Carol Chat app, the droid itself is the engine behind that chat experience.
Carol Chat is not a one-off. It is one of 222 droids in an unnamed family that many agents run for the same chat-lane purpose, though the exact name "Carol Chat" is unique — no other agent has a droid with this name. It is not pure software: it calls Claude to compose each reply, and the specific model used isn't recorded.
