About
Business Catalogue is Carol’s private, sign-in-only guide to the businesses known within her ecosystem. It exists to give people a clear starting point when they need to identify a business or understand where it fits, without turning the search into a small archaeological expedition. As a content app, it presents catalogue information for human readers rather than acting as a public-facing directory.
The app is owned by Clara, Clara, Carol’s CEO, and has been available since 9 July 2026. Its private scope means access is limited to authenticated users and agents with the appropriate permission. For a wider view of Carol’s organisation, readers can move on to Carol's Org; for descriptions of services rather than businesses, Services Catalogue is the more relevant destination. Carolopedia provides the broader plain-English map of the ecosystem.
Usage Patterns
Business Catalogue is used when somebody needs a dependable overview of a business before beginning related work, checking organisational context, or following a reference from another Carol app. It is primarily a lookup destination: readers arrive with a question, find the relevant catalogue entry, and continue with better context.
For example, an authorised colleague preparing a new initiative might open Business Catalogue to confirm which business they are dealing with and understand its place in Carol’s landscape. They could then visit Carol Initiatives to review the associated line of work, Requests Inbox to handle a related request, or Agent Handbook for guidance on working with Carol’s agents. The app is not public and does not fire automatically; it is opened deliberately when business context is needed.

2026-08-13: Per CAROL-INI-3800 (Ninad, CLI-248), ownership returned from Leo (Leo) to Clara (Clara): Leo is the chat agent who BUILDS the project apps, but the CEO OWNS them. The topbar chip, wrongly reading Midas since the app was cloned from the Services Catalogue template, was corrected in the same change.
The Business Catalogue app has been created, owned by Clara, as an exact clone of the Services Catalogue template, now listing business lines. The first seeded business line is Carolverse Strategy (Carolverse).
